Case Study Workshop

  • The workshop focuses on the core skills tested in GCE A-Level Economics Paper 1, including data interpretation, economic analysis, application, and evaluation—skills essential for both building strong foundations in JC1 and exam readiness in JC2.
  • Conducted over three focused days, students learn a clear, step-by-step approach to handling unseen case studies. This helps JC1 students gain confidence early, while JC2 students sharpen techniques and avoid common examination pitfalls.
  • Students are trained to answer precisely to the demands of the question, using the correct economic reasoning and structure expected by A-Level examiners—helping them convert knowledge into marks effectively.

Economics Group Tuition

  • Lessons are conducted in small groups to ensure every student receives individual attention, regular questioning, and active participation—maximising understanding and engagement in each session.
  • Teaching emphasises application, analysis, and evaluation, guiding students to answer questions according to Cambridge examination standards so they can consistently translate knowledge into marks.
  • Lessons follow a clear, systematic programme that builds concepts gradually while reinforcing key skills through practice, ensuring students develop confidence and competence throughout the academic year.

JC 1 Catch-Up Programme

  • Specially designed for students who did not perform well in their promotional examinations, the programme identifies and addresses conceptual gaps, helping students rebuild confidence and understanding systematically.
  • Students revisit key JC1 topics through guided explanations, structured notes, and exam-relevant examples, ensuring they have a solid foundation before progressing to JC2.
  • Lessons include a wide range of A-Level standard essay questions and topical case studies, training students to apply economic concepts accurately and answer according to examination requirements.

Group Tuition Fees

JC 1 & JC 2 students:

Fees: $480 / 4 lessons and $120 material fee per year (non-refundable).

More Information:

  • There is no trial lesson available due to limited vacancies.

  • Should there be 5 lessons in a month, the fees will be pro-rated accordingly.

  • There is no pro-rating of material fee as the materials for the earlier lessons would be given to your child. The material fee is payable every academic year.

  • Upon confirmed registration, the tuition fees will remain unchanged for the rest of the year, provided there is no break in payment of fees. However, if a student stops attending for any reason and does not pay the fees for the missed lessons, then upon rejoining the class he/she will be charged the higher fee.

  • As this is a group tuition, the fees will be payable regardless of attendance. There will not be any refund of tuition fees if students miss lessons.
